Are you interested in learning the basics of how to handle a firearm? Here at Broughton Lake Firearms Training we have a 6 hour class that covers many of the basics.
Topics include:
- Determining your dominate eye
- Assuming a proper two handed grip for revolvers and semi-automatics
- The five fundamentals of pistol shooting: Aiming, breath control, hold control, trigger control, and follow-through.
- Loading, cocking, de-cocking, and unloading your firearm
- Identifying types of misfires and how to respond
- Determining the shooting stance that works best for you
The student will spend 4 hours in the classroom and 2 hours on the outdoor range.
This class is very popular with people who want “just the basics”. It’s a great way to become confident with your firearm while enjoying personal instruction on a private range.
The “just the basics” class is taught on Saturdays 9am-4pm. Cost: Contact for pricing
The minimum amount of factory loaded ammunition for your firearm is 50 rounds. However, many students wished they had brought more.
There is no NRA certificate awarded at the end of the “just the basics” class.
Please contact us to set up an appointment. There may also be a Saturday available if there is no NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting class being taught.
