Sadly, in today’s places of worship we can no longer live under the mindset of “it can’t happen here”. Worshippers have to move beyond that mindset and prepare for worse case scenarios. Broughton Lake Firearms Training can help your team. We have two options to help you.
Option One: We start from the ground up and help put together an action-plan to present to your church leadership and then spend time with your team on the range working through different scenarios.
Goals of option one:
Establish the overall goal of your security team.
Determine an ideal number for your security team.
Outline a selection process for members to be on the team.
Use best practices for the team to implement new procedures.
Address inconveniences as procedures are put in place and how they will be communicated.
Show optimal ways the team can communicate while on security.
Broughton Lake will address all these issues and many more. At the end of the discussion section, we will move to the range and present your team with active shooter scenarios. We will work on basic elements of moving with a firearm (as an individual and as a team), target acquisition, shooting from different types of cover, and how to quickly reload.
Expect to spend 1-2 hours in the classroom and 1-2 hours on the range. Minimum number of factory loaded rounds to bring is 100 per team member.

Option Two: This option is for the church that has a team already established and wants to spend time on the range learning how to handle different active shooter scenarios. We will work on basic elements of moving with a firearm (as an individual and as a team), target acquisition, shooting from different types of cover, and how to quickly reload.
Expect to spend a minimum of 2 hours on the range. Minimum number of factory loaded ammunition is 200 rounds per team member.
